Nuyorican Poets Cafe is a small venue here in the Lower East Side that every Friday night, they have spoken word poetry performances by amazingly talented poets. People from all over the world attend Nuyorican Poets Cafe. People from Texas, California, Washington, Detroit, and of course, the surrounding boroughs of NYC. The poets that perform on Friday nights are poets that are competing to attend and represent NYC at the annual poetry slam in Oakland. So if you have any time, make sure to attend Nuyorican Poets Cafe and be ready to be moved and touched by the amazing poems and performances of the many talented poets from NYC.
